Executive Principal
Bob makes sure our projects are completed “on time, on budget” - though from the state of his desk, we’re surprised he can even find his phone. He is also the unofficial DMR historian, and can tell you pretty much anything about any project we’ve ever done. A former race car driver, Bob has two great loves: Ferraris and Booty (his wife). Yes folks, that’s actually her name.
Bachelor of Architecture: University of Tennessee

Associate, Manager of Information Systems
As our “IT guy,” Brian is in charge of making sure all of our technological gadgets are working properly. If he isn’t around, something is bound to break, crash, freeze, or malfunction in some way or another. When he’s not solving problems around the office, Brian is trying to increase the world’s population of women (he has three daughters) or riding something with two wheels.

Project Manager
Cara’s interest in architecture started with a childhood fascination with building materials and learning how to put things together. She is a habitual list-maker and a frequent customer at Home Depot (like several other members of the DMR team, she is constantly involved in one home improvement project or another).
Bachelor of Architecture: University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Executive Principal
Eric is both our Principal in Charge of Design and our master planning expert. He still prefers his original drawing tools and his colored pencils, and his specialty is creating detailed hand drawings to communicate his vision of a project to the client. He also enjoys gardening, and can’t resist stopping by every landscape nursery he passes to look for unusual plants.
Bachelor of Environmental Design, Master of Architecture and Urban Design: Texas A&M University

Intern
Both Felipe’s father and brother are architects, so he came by it honestly. Felipe worked in Bogota and Miami before joining DMR. He loves design and hockey, especially the Miami Panthers and traveling. The most memorable place he has been…. the Grand Canyon….. It was spectacular.
Bachelor of Architecture - Javeriana University - Bogota
Specialized in Design Management - Jorge Tadeo Lozano University — Bogota

Designer, AIA Associate, LEED AP
Jack joined the DMR team in October of 2006, after working for architecture firms in both Charlotte and Bogota, Colombia. Jack has experience in 3-D modeling, developing construction documents, and creating multimedia presentations, and he enjoys being an active part of the design process that develops a concept into reality.
Bachelor of Architecture: Jorge Tadeo Lozano University

Architect
Jim is a man of few words. However, we have discovered he likes NASCAR.

Associate, Architect, AIA
In addition to being one of our chief designers, Joseph coordinates our Lunch & Learn program to help the DMR team stay educated about important issues in the architectural field. He is also the person that everyone goes to with questions, because he always seems to have the answers. He usually has a large personal stash of chopsticks and soy sauce somewhere on his desk.
Bachelor of Architecture: North Carolina State University

Associate, Director of Marketing
As our Director of Marketing, Kristen spends most of her time talking — either introducing the firm to potential new clients or maintaining relationships with existing ones. Kristen’s house has been under renovation for what seems like forever, and she looks forward to someday being finished with contractors and sheetrock dust. She also has three rescued lab mixes and a weakness for reality TV and shoes.
Bachelor of Science in Journalism: Ohio University

Job Captain
One of our “Architects in Training,” Matt spends most of his time working on EpiCentre. Correction: Matt spends ALL of his time working on EpiCentre. Matt also gets new cars more frequently than the average person and claims that if he hadn’t gone into architecture, he’d probably have a career as a used car salesman.
Bachelor of Architecture: University of North Carolina at Charlotte
Bachelor of Science: University of New York at Buffalo
Associates of Science in Architectural Technology: Pennsylvania College of
Technology

Associate, Architect, AIA
Matt is a Project Manager with a strong interest in the construction side of architecture. He has also been known to do some construction work himself; he built four treehouses between the ages of 10 and 14, and is currently renovating the house he shares with his wife and two sons.
Master of Business Administration, Master of Architecture: Arizona State University Bachelor of Science in Architecture: The Ohio State University

Designer, AIA Associate, LEED AP
Originally from Colombia, Mauricio joined DMR in 1999 and then left in 2001 to work for a firm in Canada. We recently lured him back with the prospect of warmer weather, and he now serves as both architectural intern and unofficial Spanish translator. Mauricio has a weakness for international travel, and occasionally entertains us at lunchtime with his architectural photos from places like Japan, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.

Office Manager
As our office manager, Nancy has the honor of taking care of all the paperwork that the rest of us don’t want to deal with. Her meticulous nature is evident through her management of the finances, resources, organization, and appearance of DMR. But her attention to detail doesn’t stop there. Often seen purchasing grocery items in groups of 3, this level of particularity means that nothing unsatisfactory gets past Nancy, especially insufficient timesheets.

Draftsman
Ricardo came to us from New York State, where he worked for various architecture firms on Long Island and elsewhere. He lives with his wife and two daughters, and drives an old rusty pickup truck that he can’t quite convince himself to get rid of.
Bachelor of Science in Architecture: City College of New York

Administrative Assistant
Rochelle is the friendly face that you’ll see when you walk through the front door of the DMR office (though if she’s not there, she’s probably delivering packages to Travis). She has lived in Los Angeles, New York City, and England, and currently shares her house with her husband and two cats.

Founder, CEO & Executive Principal
Formerly known as #86 on the Tennessee Volunteers football team, Terry is the founder and “head honcho” of DMR. Though he spends a lot of time in meetings and on the phone, he still enjoys the design process and makes sure that he has a hand in every project that comes through the office. Occasionally, he also finds the time to play his fiddle or visit his vacation house at Redbud.
Bachelor of Architecture: University of Tennessee

Project Manager
Travis is in charge of all our Walgreens projects, though he claims he only works here because the position of head football coach for Virginia Tech was already taken. His desk contains an impressive collection of Hokie paraphernalia, and his brain contains an impressive collection of Seinfeld trivia.
Bachelor of Architecture: Virginia Tech
